Week 14 - Sir Cuts Alot

This week in Auto CAD I worked on coming up with designs to use for the vinyl cutter. I've decided to go with line art, because it would be easier to weave. Here is one idea I'm throwing around, but it must have a more simpler design for it to be practical.

Week 13 - Sticker Machine

This week in AutoCAD a us cutter machine was set upped to make vinyl stickers. The machine uses a program called inkscape which fixates the designs to the actual machine. It can also handle multiple layers of colors which will add extra detail.

Week 12 - Plotting Balista Design

This week in AutoCAD I've been working on plotting a balista design that is both simple and efficient. The main inspiration of the design was an ancient Roman one, which employs the use of rope to create potential energy. I specifically like the use of period materials like rope instead of surgical tubing, and the wide frame design that uses a winged approach.

Week 11 - It's a Medieval Life for Me

This week in AutoCAD I've been working on blueprints for a ballista. The current design is simple enough to be relatively easy to build, but has enough potential to be great. It consists of a frontal beam that offers support to the moving projectile, and offers strength for the build up of potential energy. This build up will be achieved through surgical tubing, and a crank. Overall I'm pleased with the current progress of the blueprint.
